High-power PIV system, example C: PIV system for large regions in air (20 Hz)
This PIV system features an extremely bright, thin light sheet (< 3 mm). It is suitable for use in water and air (air: up to approx. 30 m/s with 1 µm DEHS seeding; higher speeds are possible with larger particles). The laser is controlled wirelessly from PIVlab. Very small pulse intervals (down to 2 µs) allow the measurement of high velocities. Together with the pco.panda 26 DS (25 mega pixels at 1.5 image pairs per second), high-resolution analyses can be carried out (e.g., image sections of 400 x 400 mm in air at up to 30 m/s at 1.5 fps).
