High-power PIV system, example C: PIV system for large regions in air (10 kHz)
This high-speed PIV system features an extremely bright, thin light sheet (< 3 mm). It is suitable for use in water and air (air: up to approx. 30 m/s with 1 µm DEHS seeding; higher speeds are possible with larger particles). The laser is controlled wirelessly from PIVlab. Very small pulse intervals (down to 10 µs) allow the measurement of high velocities. Together with the OPTRONIS Cyclone 2-2000-M, high-speed analyses can be carried out (e.g., image sections of 400 x 400 mm in air at up to 30 m/s at 2000 fps).
