The traverse controller drives up to four axes of high-precision DC motors with different encoders. The design is equipped with an easily accessible emergency stop switch in case the travel path is blocked.
The front panel also features signal LEDs for the status of each axis and the controller itself. In addition, the unit can be controlled using the front panel buttons to quickly move each axis during setup without a PC.
Connection to the PC is via standard Ethernet, allowing the controller to be integrated into common TCP/IP networks. The traversing controller also comes with a software module that can run in slave mode. This allows other programs such as LabView to control the traverse system.
